I must admit that when it comes to electronic technology, sometimes you  nearly need a university degree to run it.  With all the added technology in some of these gizmos, if you do not use them on a regular basis. One is inclined to forget how to operate them.  David Webb Bookmark the permalink.Western Sportsman Magazine: Hunting,..." http://www.westernsportsman.com/2012/08/gear-review-bushnell-backtrack-hunttrack/    I most likely would be considered prehistoric or, at the very least, antiquated. I like it simple — that is not to say that modern technology has escaped me, it has not, but in many ways it has gotten so complicated that one almost needs a course on just how to run some of this technology. Not so with the Bushnell BackTrack HuntTrack GPS.  It was designed with users just like me in mind by offering a simple navigation hand held GPS that allows the user an easy way to mark waypoints and find their way back without a lot of unnecessary or complicated features. Boating In The Age Of Ethanol

Boating In The Age Of Ethanol  By Frank Sargeant   There are a fair number of stories floating around the docks these days of motors that have become ill-tempered and undependable-or even unrunnable--after an extended period of using the gasoline/alcohol blend known as E-10-a mix of 90 percent gasoline, 10 percent ethanol alcohol now found at most service stations nationwide as part of the mandated effort to reduce air pollution.  But according to the makers of most major outboard brands, there should be few issues with using fresh, clean gasoline containing up to 10 percent ethanol in any modern outboard.  A proposal to allow 15 percent ethanol mixes in pump gas would be totally another matter-ALL manufacturers say this stuff would be poison to current outboards, and the NMMA is handing out warning stickers by the thousands to boat dealers to help them make their customers aware.  How bad is E-15? Very bad based on tests concluded in 2011 by Mercury Marine for the U.S. Department of E
Fishing news update. Bisbee’s East Cape Offshore Tournament was held this past week, wrapping up on Saturday with the heaviest Yellowfin tuna caught on Inman Bank near Cabo weighing in at 262 pounds!!  The striped marlin are still around, with the biggest numbers found around 1/2 – 2 miles out, near La Ribera. If you enjoy fishing for marlin on the fly, or have never tried it, then we strongly suggest you head on down here as soon as you can. Our water conditions are perfect right now. Stable water temperatures and low chlorophyll levels have provided some beautiful blue water to fish in at the moment; which means the marlin fishing will stay strong for some time.  Mixed in with the marlin is dorado averaging in size between 10-20 pounds. They are feeding very aggressively and are very willing to take the fly. Once we locate the fish and we get a hold of one dorado within the school, the others follow. We then cast to others in the school and the action heats up before the fish move of
